FAQs22. Seasonal Gardening Guidance

FAQs22. Seasonal Gardening Guidance

1. Can I use vertical towers throughout the year?
Yes! Vertical towers are designed for year-round use. You can switch crops with the seasons and enjoy continuous harvests by following seasonal planting cycles.

2. What are the best vegetables to grow in summer?

Tomato, okra (bhindi), brinjal, chilli, cucumber, bottle gourd

Leafy greens like amaranthus (chaulai) and malabar spinach (poi)
Choose heat-tolerant crops and water more frequently.

3. Which vegetables are suitable for winter gardening in towers?

Spinach, coriander, fenugreek, peas, radish, carrot, beetroot
These thrive in cooler weather and need less watering.

4. What precautions should I take during monsoons?

Ensure proper drainage to avoid waterlogging

Avoid overwatering, as natural rainfall may be sufficient

Watch out for fungal infections and apply organic fungicides preventively

5. Do seasonal changes affect the watering schedule?
Yes. In summer, water once or twice daily. In winter, once every 1–2 days is enough. During monsoons, water only when needed based on soil moisture.

6. Can I plant all my tower pockets at once or stagger them?
You can do both, but staggering the planting (every 10–15 days) gives you a continuous harvest instead of everything maturing at once.

7. Do I need to change the soil with each season?
No, just revive the existing soil by adding compost or vermicompost. A full soil replacement is only needed once or twice a year if the soil becomes compact or depleted.
